The pattern goes like this:
A tragedy happens, of all sorts.
You're overwhelmed, confused, angry, and in pain.
Then you realise you're not alone.
There are many people out there, or here (depending how you go about your own feeling, and exposing yourself to others), that went through the same. Feel the same.
You don't care at first, but then you think that maybe you can transform that bad into something good.
So you run a charity, or join one.
You start an awareness campaign, or support one.
How much of that is because of your need for recognition, or fame?
How much is your real need to do something with the enormous burden you were faced with?
How much is real you?
